Sat June 12, 2010: Boss Paintball hosted an-Naksah and
Big Bear got to play general for the Egyptians. The 96 degree heat
beat down the troops, but Section8 kept hammering away as Bear sweated
working the radios trying to keep the troops in order. Major props
go out to Boxer (MVP) and and Brute Force (MVT) in
helping keep this one a tight finish. Psychological Outcomes
also deserves mention as Angela put up quite a few points and helped
keep Bear straight.
From Section8 we packed in: Bear, Go Kart, Eddie, Travis, Brett,
Thumper, Gabe, David, Sean and Kinch. Travis gets voted in Sat PM
over Pizza and beer - congratulations sir.

May 22, 2010: In attendance (12) : Thumper, Bear, GoKart, Eddie
+ Brett + Travis, Killas + Travis + Killiam, Eric, Link + Alex
Games began at 9:00am and ran until 12:15
Games included:
2 x Kick the Can @ Castle
1 x rescue plushie from Lions Den
1 x rescue plushie from Zulu
1 x Kick the Can @ Castle
1 x Kick Eddies Butt @ Lions Den lol.
Comments: When you practice this hard, big games come easy. Man,
that was some intense action. The two plushie games were amazing.
We ran them w/ 5 defenders vs 7 attackers and in both cases the
attackers had their hands full as they moved further into the field
and closer to the enemy spawn. From a coaches point of view this
type of drill will force the attackers to stick together, work quickly
and together, mass their strength, and when the time comes, strike
decisively. *** very good skills for a mission running team to have***
>>> lesson to be learned: uncoordinated piece-meal tactics
occasionally just don't work. On occasion, you HAVE to MASS fire
and QUICKLY take the ground and objective.
Byron : Great to have you out sir, and welcome to the Nam.
Link, Eddie & Caribou : great hunting you fellows.
GoKart: found a new toy.

May 16, 2010: Hell Valley Madness : Solid good time .. but hot
and a bit muggy. from section8 we had : (5) bear, raptor, wilson,
me and Paul - joining up with maybe 14 or so PureKhaos and guests.
games included:
Shoot the radar dishes X 2
Zombie X 1
Center flag X 1
Speedball X 1
Total elimination x 2
Defend the tower x 1
Around half of the games included a "20 ball restriction"
- meaning 20 balls in your hopper. which really puts a twist on
things. Great fun - good times. Byron - thanks for the invite! on
the perk side : we ran into Romeo Mayo - an old school player who
used to run w/ Silent Thunder but has been in retirement since Free
Finale 2004.. He is injured at the moment from mountain biking and
midnight ultimate frisee injuries - but I think with a bit of Link's
help we may be able to convince Romeo to come out of retirement.

May 15, 2010: Section8 MVT's at WAR : Deebo, Sean, and David
represent.. Deebo adds "Yep, I enjoyed it a ton. I would
call it a "more-glorified" rec day too, but without breaks,
better talent, and lots of fun actually running with some good friends.
GQ, David, Milkshake, and Hendi are some fun ballers! The 15 minute
headquarter "missions" were nice - no confusion, just
capture, defend it, and attack it if you are on the other end. Simple,
and fun. I enjoyed the field too: thick vegetation in areas, more
clear in others, good number of bunkers and buildings, valleys,
just a good variety. Anyways, I'm rambling but it was fun, I shot
a lot of people, and I got ripped a few times too! All in all, a
great day and so close to home! (GQ props to you for your trip,
it was great running with you!)"

Feb
28 2010: Hell Valley Madness AA : Gabe, Ben, Kyle, John-John,
Travis and I met up with 12 pure-khaos regulars and a couple from
florence who came to check things out - and starting at about 10:30am
we played.. wrapping up just after 4pm.
games included:
4 x defend the tower
1 x defend the radio station
1 x bomb the tower
2 x presidents game
1 x speedball (4 on 4)
1 x defend the tower w/ endless spawn in the tower
It was great getting to get to know some of the guys a bit better,
and meeting Lenny and her fiend from Florence. Nice folks all round.
The weather was perfect and the competitive spirit is alive and
well at hell valley. The field is playing real nice and aggressive
- just the way I like it.

Feb
27 & 28 : We Come in Peace Boss PB NC -- (3) Section8 : Bear,
Wilson & Ben - hit this one - roughly 120 players - field sounds
nice.. and something about spray painted rocks. |

Feb
21, 2010 Sunday: Hell Valley Fun -- Hey all - yesterday Byron held
a "field" day at Hell Valley to pick up stuff, move stuff
around, and well.. mr gravely wanted to play. So I packed up my Z
and grabbed John-John and joined the pure khaos troop for a bit of
clean up... lots of raking, burning and mowing. briers etc mowed.
a few new bunkers put in, and on the whole the place is looking very
nice & tidy... I love the trees, and now the bramble and briers
down, it moves a bit faster.
Kyle & go-kart showed up to help and/or supervise..lol around
noon just in time for dogs on the grill, and by 2pm the kids wanted
to play, and I hauled ass back to the house for my gear and john-john's
gear and we got in a few games.
2 X shoot the satellite dishs off the barn
1 X 4 on 4 speedball
1 X pumps vs semi's on the hill.
It wasn't much ball, but after 4 weeks of nothin' it was just enough
to get the blood going.
Kyle & Go-Kart spectated, John-John and I played along with
the normal (9ish) Pure-Khaos guys.
Great time - Byron: thanks for the chow, fellowship, and the field
is really getting sporty. I like moving, and it is a great field
for that. BTW: Kyles right - you can see into the barn - you just
got to get in there with'um.

Feb 12th, 2010: TeamSection8 : Charleston - a new era of excellence
begins...
As any PBJunkie will tell you, Section8 is all over the boards
- with an abundance of "recruit" sigs everywhere.. well,
that is changing this morning.
This morning Section8 officially voted in
Ron "Goldwinger" Sena
Heyward "Slyder" McDonald
Corey "TheOriginalJunki" Denny
Dalton "Friedmoose" Ellington
Matthew "Fatalis" Weas
Jesse "minikid" Olsen
Ryne "Goofy" Carr
with Sean "Mr. GQ" Williams as local chapter captain.
And on the recruit list we have: Harry Murphy and Steve "Simus"
who are well on their way to full member status (and probably quite
a few I don't know about)
Locally, this is a lot of old wisdom and a lot of young new blood
- and some damn good guys.
Sean: Well done sir.
Gentleman: Welcome aboard!
And this morning, I'de like to announce that TeamSection8 :
Charleston is open for business! -- Woot Woot!!

Jan 31, 2010: Hell Valley Madness : in attendance: 18ish : locals
: (10ish) Byron, Ronnie, Travis, Chase, Jason, Bear, Cody, Tray,
Samson, Brandon + section8 : (8) Thumper, Ben, Big Bear, Wilson,
Eddie + Brett + Travis, Raptor
games played :
2 x total elimination 8 on 8 (no spawn)
2 x rescue plushies 5 on 10 (endless spawn then 1 spawn ea)
3 x speedball 4 on 4
1 x kick the can (endless spawn) 4 on 14
2 x total elimination (no spawn) 8 on 8
We met up at hardees as the temps rose above freezing. the trees
glowed white in the sun with a layer of ice. first game around 11:00am
- and played until 3:30. Afterwards a few made their way over to
Beef's for chow..
This was the first real meeting between the Hell Valley locals
and Section8 - and like any such first meeting there was bit of
apprehension in the air. Byron paired the teams opposite each other
(oh boy - here we go) - and well, we met. After that we mixed things
up and blended teams and did more attack defend type games with
spawns.
Solid sportsmanship all around. All in all, I had a blast. I love
the field and local crew yall got going there. I'm sure this is
just the beginning of good things to come.
Byron adds : "Yes sir - top notch Ballin all day - Can't
wait to do it again"
Raptor adds : "Excellent day of balling, thanks for having
us over... "

Jan 24, 2010: Run Charlie : Iin attendance : Section8 : (7)
thumper + john-john, wilson, eddie + brett + travis, Ricky -- Hell
Valley : (3) Byon, Camo and Travis
games played:
4 x 8 cones @ castle
1 x rescue plushie from village
The plushie game got pretty crazy as wilson tried to run it back,
but found himself trapped on the wrong side of the creek - as I
found myself surrounded and pinned against the tape and no where
to run, except straight through Ricky.. Well, lets just say it got
close and personal...
The weather kept some folks at home and the numbers low - but the
weather behaved very well indeed. What struck me was how well the
field played with small numbers. The speed and aggressive play +
the new spawns makes the games play much much bigger. Ricky and
Eddie sounded pretty sick and we called the day off around 12:30
- but the fun didn't end there. John-john and I hooked up w/ Knife
to catch "the book of eli" and then met up w/ bear, chappy,
go-kart over at Chappy's for the afc and nfc play off games.
If you missed it, ya missed out. But there was a lot of fun activity
off field as well.. Good times.

Jan 17, 2010 : Section8 Day @ PBC.. woot woot.. TC
Pics

In attendance : 31ish : Section8 : Bear, Thumper, GQ, Go-Cart,
Raptor, David, Wilson, Chappy, Slyder, Ron, Moose, Cory + DJ, 2
Johns + 4 | Thunder Chickens : Papabear + 3? + Chris | Bryon + 5
from Blythewood | Ref : Goofy
---------------------------------------------------
Comments : I had fun once my hangover cleared out - and I think
this is one of the better ways to play paintball.. a private group
of solid ballers at a professionally run field...very much like
the outlaw ball we play when we get a good turn out, but with a
bit more variety of fields. Well worth the drive and the few bucks
paid to play. For me personally, it was a nice change of venue...
and Ill be back.
Thunder Chickens : **RESPECT** I enjoyed getting to play w/ and
against you guys. I see a solid team-team thing building.
Slyder : solid ballin sir. You have your sec8 sponsors lined up.
Keep up the good work.
Chris : you're a beast young man.
Bear: great job rallying the troops - solid turn out and fun.
Goofy : sorry you couldn't play - thanks for running junk. Good
fun.
---------------------------------------------------
Raptor Adds : "Great day, excellent playtime, it was good
to get to know some more people down there, hope to do it again,
excellent reffing job by Goofy"
Cory Adds : "Just wanted to say DJ and myself had a awesome
time. Thank you section 8 for traveling to PBC to play. Thanks Goofy
for the fine reffing."
Moose Adds : "awesome day today guys, need to do it again"
Bear Adds : "I had a blast to day and this will be a must
do thing every few months for Section 8!"

Jan 02, 2010: Sat : Dawn of the deaD: aa report : in attendance
: Section8 and friends (16) Thumper + John-John, Bear, Eddie + Brett
+ Travis, GoKart + PattyCakes, Malcome93, Wilson, Raptor, David,
Two Johns, Zach + Alex.
First game : 10:45a -- Games played:
3 X 8 Cone Castle / Fuel Dump
2 X Island of Dr. Moreau
2 X rescue plushies from new village
We wrapped right at 2:45 and headed in mass over to Beefs for fun
and fellowship - and to watch the Gamecocks get punished in their
bowl game with UCon (7-20)
We tried two things that were fairly new : introducing LZ1, LZ2
and LZ3 as spawns for the defenders - which can be "taken out"
- and playing the Island of Dr. Moreau using LZ2 and LZ3 as bases
for the two main teams, and with a plushie protected on the island
by monsters.
Everyone
seemed to really like the LZ/Spawns and how they worked. It tends
to make the games play a bit more aggressive - as if that were possible.
I view this trial run as a success and the LZs as well placed permanent
fixtures ... and in concert with the theme of the day, the dead
kept coming back to life - hungry for more brains..
"more brains"
The Island of Dr. Moreau seemed to be very average if not a bit
boring. I think if we had more players this would have played a
bit different - perhaps we should try King of Ban Me next time.
The rescue the plushies in the new village proves to be the most
fun and challenging for a few weeks in a row now - and with the
new LZ3 nearby, well it just keeps getting better and better.
Great fun guys.. poor showing by the Gamecocks. ..and I hear Link
made contact with Timmy ... itching to play... woot woot!
Bear Adds : "Great time today guys. Lots of fun...
First gsme does not count for me cause I could not hit shit cause
of the red dot! lol Thumper put the smack down on me in that game...
I do believe I got his ass back! I must say he need's to look both
ways before he cross's the creek... lol Malcome played well today
and it was great to meet you my man. Looking forward to playing
with you againg real soon. David you got me fair and square. Good
shot bro! All around good times today and looking forward to the
next one!"
David adds : "Yeah It was great Time good to see
everyone again yeah I went 1 for 3 against the bear ...but ill take
my one..lol It was nice to meet malcome. Sorry about the friendly
fire malcomb and john...and shooting inccocent civilian bystander
go-cart...lol It was great to balll with everyone some amazing play...
John held the island by himself against like 4 people for 10 minutes..
Brett long balled the heck outta wilson 1 shot pow...and wilson
single handedly fended of like eight people for a long time keeping
his spawn alive just to name a few of the many many good plays I
saw great times"
