Why play pump?

Well the obvious answers always begin with "paint savings".. let me 'splain....

more on pump play math ..

sportshot + pump + 9oz co2 tank = 350 to 400 rounds for 5 hours of play time.

stick feed + pump + 9oz co2 tank = 150 to 200 rounds for 5 hours of play time.

A new CCM S6 = $600

A nice Evolution or Free Flow Sniper or S5 or SS25 w/ all the bells and whistles < $450

A factory 2K0-2k1 Sniper II w/ enough stuff to get you by : $150 to $250

A factory phantom w/ all the bells and whistles < $300

-------------------
SEMI : If you hits six scenario games a year and play recball another 10, and play semi, and average 3/4 of a case per day of playing and the cases average $50/case that comes to 22 days X 3/4 X $50 = $825 in paint

PUMP: Six scenarios plus 10 rec days average 1 bag per day = $275 in paint

With the savings in paint alone in 1 year you bought two decent sniper IIs or two phantoms or one nice pump, or one S6 in near new condition.

Obviously if you have a kid or two playing that you get to pay for, these savings multiply by the number of players on your bankroll.

What I have seen is the pump guys tend to spend a lot more time on the field when playing, and a lot more days playing... basically they play A LOT ..

Here is another savings technique I see a lot of veteran pump players using ...
At the scenario game, bring your semi and your pump. Start w/ the semi. When you get down to your last bag, put the semi away and go pump till the end of the game.
