Paintball Game : Stargate

Paintball Game : Stargate

To give credit where credit is due, LB inspired this game. Together he and I worked out the details, tested and refined this game at "The Farmhouse" during 2007.

Preface: Stargate is a recreational paintball game designed to be played on at least 1 acre of land, preferable land containing terrain features and not overly open. This game is ideal for 9 to 50 players.

Equipment/Props: 3 pieces of 2"x6' PVC pipe and 1 piece of 6' x 3/8" rope.

Setup: The games master attaches the rope to one of the pieces of PVC pipe, and distributed the 3 pieces of PVC on the field in locations unknown to the players. The pieces should not be hidden, and should be separated by no less than 100 ft.

The sides: Teams should be split up into 1/3 (Aliens) and 2/3 (Earthlings) - example : 3 vs 6, 4 vs 11, 5 vs 10, 6 vs 12. Mark teams w/ face tape.

The story: The earthlings have traveled across the universe through a wormhole generated by ancient Egyptian technology. After several failed experiments, one group of Earthlings managed to successfully travel to Uranus and land unharmed. Surprisingly, Uranus was occupied by Klingons who wished the Earthlings harm. As the Earthlings scrambled to escape the raging Klingons, the Stargate device became damaged. To return to Earth, the Earthlings must locate the 3 piece of the Stargate, assemble them into a pyramid and run through the Stargate.

Rules: Once through the Stargate, the Earthlings can't shoot. Nor should the Klingons shoot at the Earthlings who have escaped. Once the Stargate is assembled, the worm hole only remains open for 3 minutes.

Spawn: Both should have endless spawn.

Game ends: The game ends when last Earthling escapes Uranus or surrenders to the Klingons.
